PARKROSE HARDWARE

DIANTHUS

Also known as pinks, carnations, and Sweet William, dianthus bring frilly edged petals to beds, borders, and containers. Dianthus flowers feature many shapes and markings, and some even have a spicy aroma.

Sweet William prefers compost-amended, well-draining sites. It can tolerate full sun, but most gardeners will plant it in partial shade in order to prolong the bloom and keep the plant looking better. Deadhead regularly.
