PARKROSE HARDWARE

COLUMBINE

Also known as ‘granny’s bonnet,’ these buttercup relatives are tried & true picks for cottage gardens.

Come spring, these easy-to-grow perennials burst into blooms featuring hook-shaped, talon-like petals in hues of white, yellow, purples, blues & reds. In the fall, foliage turns a stunning shade of maroon.

This is a great addition to fresh flower arrangements!

  • Deer resistant
  • Self seeding (it spreads!)
  • Tolerates full sun, but not heat
  • Attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds & songbirds

COLUMBINE GROWING TIPS

These easy-growing plants have minimal requirements. They can handle full-sun to partial shade, but don’t tolerate high temperatures. Establish in well-draining, slightly acidic soil (aka, any Northwest flowerbed). Keep soil moist during dry spells.
