DELPHINIUM GROWING TIPS

For the brightest blooms, amend soil in spring with lime or wood ashes. In spring, add a thin layer of compost followed by a two-inch mulch layer. In summer, water if rainfall is less than one inch per week. In the fall, after the first hard frost, cut stems back to about an inch above soil line. Every three to four springs, divide plants as new growth emerges.
